The COVID-19 vaccine is here – now what?

There are currently two vaccines approved by the FDA for emergency use in the U.S. Due to limited supply, vaccination is taking place in phases. Those at the highest risk are currently receiving the vaccine in earlier phases across the country. These phases vary by state and in some cases, by county.

We encourage you to take charge of your personal health plan:

  • Familiarize yourself with your state’s distribution plan as they vary across the U.S.

  • Sign up for vaccine distribution lists through your local departments of health

  • Reach out to your primary physician’s office and stay in direct contact with your doctor

  • Closely follow updates from Healthy Reyes for the latest company developments

When can I get a COVID-19 vaccine?

Due to limited supply, vaccination will occur in phases. Those at the highest risk (health care workers and long-term care residents) will receive the vaccine first and are currently being vaccinated.

Each state has its own vaccination plan and guidelines - please familiarize yourself with your state's plan so you are prepared once the vaccine becomes available to you:

Will I have to pay for the vaccine?

No. As with testing, medical plans will pay for 100% of the cost of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Why is getting the COVID-19 vaccine important?

COVID-19 vaccines are a vital step in slowing the spread of the virus. If you have questions about the vaccines, now is a great time to do some more research from accredited organizations like the CDC, FDA or the WHO - and/or talk to your health care provider.

Is the vaccine safe?

Yes. According to the CDC, COVID-19 vaccines are being carefully evaluated in clinical trials and are only authorized or approved if they are believed to be safe and make it less likely you’ll get COVID-19.

Where will we go to get the vaccine?

We will be providing more details on the vaccination process as soon as we are able.

What is the Company doing to get access to the vaccine?

Distribution plans vary by state. We are working closely with local government and public health officials and will share more information as soon as we are able.
