Reyes Holdings began in 1976 when brothers Chris and Jude Reyes opened a small Schlitz beer distributorship in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Within a year, the Reyes brothers added another distributorship in Savannah, Ga. And by 1979 they moved the company’s headquarters to Chicago. There, they purchased a distributorship with a small share of the market and transformed it into a powerhouse, helping Reyes Beer Division grow to become the national leader it is today.
Their success in the beverage industry paved the way for expansion into other areas of foodservice. In 1998, Reyes Holdings acquired The Martin-Brower Company, a firm that had a relationship with McDonald’s dating to Ray Kroc’s first restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois. Today, Martin Brower serves 16,000 McDonald’s stores worldwide.
By 2015, the company launched Great Lakes Coca-Cola Bottling LLC, which serves parts of six states in the Midwest, including the cities of Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis and Milwaukee. In the years that followed, Reyes Holdings entered agreements with Coca-Cola for markets on the West Coast; including the key cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego under Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling.
From our humble beginnings with a Schlitz beer distributorship, Reyes Holdings, LLC is now a global leader in the production and distribution of food and beverage products and one of the largest privately owned companies in America. By staying true to a long-standing commitment to excellence, Reyes Holdings, LLC has become a critical partner to companies across the country. And we continue to grow as we explore new ways to better serve the food and beverage industry, every day.
