Reyes Cares is committed to making a positive impact through our four pillars: community, recycling, energy, and fuel & emissions. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do whether it’s in our operations or the communities we serve.

Recycling is a crucial element of our environmental strategy and guides our efforts to reduce waste and foster a circular economy. Our efforts are driving measurable change, and we are committed to doing even more.

Our Impact So Far

We’re proud of the strides we’ve made in recycling and waste diversion across the Reyes Family of Businesses. Our recent milestones reflect our commitment to sustainability. Here are some of our recent achievements:

  • 50k+ tons of material recycled across the enterprise

  • 75% waste diversion from landfills on all new construction projects

  • 400+ lbs of waste removed from local parks near the Rosemont office through employee-led clean-up events

Throughout the year, our business units participate in various recycling initiatives, from community clean ups to recycling donations:

/
Reyes Cares Green Team partnered with Clean Up – Give Back for a park cleanup, collecting 20 lbs. of trash.
/
Allied Beverages employees and their families volunteered at the National Beach Clean Up Day in Oxnard and Pismo Beach.
/
MB Korea Volunteer Program team members participated in a plogging activity to improve the neighborhood surrounding their Distribution Center.
/
RCCB San Jose celebrated Earth Day with partners San Jose Earthquakes and Our City Forest to plant 30 trees in the area to cultivate a green and healthy San Jose metropolis.

Our Path Forward

We’re not stopping here. Our goals for the future focus on increasing recycling rates, minimizing waste, and continuing to lead the way in creating a circular economy. These targets reflect our commitment to continuous improvement across the Reyes Family of Businesses.

Here are our goals for the future:

  • Reyes Holdings: Supporting a circular economy by promoting recycling both at work and in our communities, with initiatives such as park clean-ups and material reuse in our operations.

  • Reyes Beverage Group: Focused on waste diversion and reduction, engaging everyone in the waste cycle, from employees to suppliers, while working toward zero waste to landfill by 2030.

  • Martin Brower: Committed to circular waste solutions that support a circular economy, aiming for Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) and diverting 90% of non-hazardous waste materials from landfills.

  • Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling: Striving for Zero Waste to Landfill by 2030 and advancing the circular economy by supporting the use of recycled material in packaging, like 100% rPET bottles.

Together, we are building a more sustainable future for our company, communities, and the planet.

While we’re excited to focus on our recycling pillar, we remain equally dedicated to advancing the other three pillars of Reyes Cares, which are community, energy and fuel & emissions.

Here’s a quick look at how we’re making a difference in these areas:

  • In community, Reyes Beverage Group visited a local armed forces retirement home for an ice cream social event. The team treated the retirees and staff to delicious ice cream while enjoying lively discussions about their interests and sharing stories about their experiences as veterans.

  • In energy, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling announced the opening of their brand new Fresno, California distribution center. This facility was meticulously designed with increased energy efficiency, safety and sustainability in mind.

  • In fuel & emissions, 5 US Martin Brower distribution centers are achieving near zero carbon operational emissions since rolling out Renewable Diesel 99 (RD99) in 2024.
